Hello --
My PP750 arrived from Krale today. Believe I received the typical items included with this gun. There was a fill probe, gauge wrench, a pile of unsorted o-rings and a manual in English. Couple drops of oil on the cocking lever linkage, some silicone on the probe o-rings, and proceeded to mount a Pic rail riser, red dot and the adapter for the 1/2UNF-threaded moderator. The dovetail band on the barrel shroud seems quite effective, and thinking may order a spare for mounting a small light. Or, maybe that's too much weight to suspend from the shroud.
Initial impressions? IMPRESSED!
Been wanting one since I saw AAR's review from the UK last April. I can concur with the most common reactions. The fit and finish is very nice, solidly built, very little plastic, and a couple slabs of wood on the pistol grip, all make for a positive appeal. Peeled off the open sights on my way to adding the moderator adapter, and I found aluminum cones and spacers in the muzzle end of the shroud. That is impressive. Sure they could have gone with plastic, but aluminum baffles, that's a pleasant surprise. There is a bit of gap between mod adapter and shroud so thinking of shortening one of the spacers by that amount.
The magazine runs a bit rough, but from scouring these forums the past week in regard this gun, feel well prepared at tuning that up. The current riser and red dot are going to restrict me to small capacity magazines for the time being.
Aired the gun up couple times and caught the day's last light in the yard. This thing shoots really nicely. Can't define the gun''s accuracy and pellet velocity just yet, but was sticking pellets on a 4" steel at 30 yards, consistently, just standing there.
Some photos below.
All the best, Mark
