FT Match Report Arlington Sportsman’s Club 03/25/2022
We had 14 competitors came to challenge the ASC Field Target course yesterday! The weather was perfect, and there weren’t any bugs or chiggers, so if you weren’t present then you missed out on a great day of shooting. We started at 9:30am after a brief shooters meeting and some last-minute gun repairs. It was a 60-shot match using 10 of our lanes, with one offhand lane. Scott Cotton painted the targets and checked them for proper operation, and Jerry Cox helped me setup the course in the afternoon. The average Troyer this month was 29.2, SD 9.47, Avg Dist 31.0 yds, and Avg KZ 1.13”.
New FT shooter, John Tafoya, was the high overall of the day with score of 55. Really great shooting, John. All of you Hunter PCP shooters better watch out for him.
Hunter PCP was once again the most numerous and contested class for the day with 8 shooters. 1st place was John Tafoya from New Mexico with an outstanding 55/60 shooting his Daystate Redwolf, with a commanding lead over 2nd place Jim Clarke who shot 44/60 with his Daystate Redwolf. Tied with Jim was Faisal Khan in 3rd based on the offhand lane score also with 44/60 using his FX Dreamline.
In Hunter Piston, Chris Simmons edged out Scott Cotton with an 33/60.
In WFTF PCP, David Alsup was first with 51/60 using his Thomas, followed by me and my RAW TM1000 and new WFTF PCP shooter Eric Pianori shooting his very customized (by himself) Tau. Very nice shooting Eric, I expected nothing less.

We will have our next match on the 4th Saturday (April 23) starting at 9:00am to beat the heat.
