Asking too much of my Leupold?

I recently acquired a Leupold Vari-X. 3-9x33 EFR Air rifle scope.
I plan to put it on a bolt action .22 long rifle. the powder burning kind.
My thinking is that the 22lr doesn’t generate enough recoil to bother the scope. I hope not, as the scope is worth a lot more than the rifle, but looks good on it.
I’m open to opions.

If an optic can't handle a 22lr it has no right existing in the first place

It probably would work on a 30-06 just fine. No problem with a 22lr.

A spring piston airgun would be much harder on it than a 22 lr. Go shoot it.

That scope is a very popular scope, many shooters use it on their springers.There should be no problems on any rifle you choose to use it on.
BTW I love Leupold scopes.

I reckon if it lasts that long on a spring gun, it’s pretty tough.
