Hi Jeff,"30cal"Well I couldn't leave it alone. The gun came stock only putting out 43 fpe. It was shooting 25 gr. JSB kings at 833 fps and 34 gr. mk 2 heavies at only 739. I thought this was strange as the gun is advertised on RAW,s website as a 55 fpe gun. I asked Martin about this and he said any faster could compromise accuracy. Like many here I was interested in pushing the 34 grain JSB heavies to over 900 fps to see if the accuracy holds up with the dramatic power increase they give. Martin said it would require enlarging the barrel port and maybe something else? So being the tinkerer I am I enlisted the help of a fellow forum member (thanks weatherby!) who told me how to turn up the power. So now with the hammer spring (factory spring) tension turned up as far as it will go (only two turns past stock) and the regulator tweaked a bit, I am now getting 56.5 fpe. Its now shooting the Kings at 952.5 and the heavies at 866 fps. That’s much better and the subjective power increase is significant! And ya it does have a bit of recoil now. I like that also! It really hits hard with 34 grain Heavies! That’s as much as I can get without enlarging the transfer port in the barrel. Would love to get them up to 950 and see how they do but then I don’t want to modify the gun so that it can’t be returned to stock easily. I am going to test the accuracy of the new power setting this Thanksgiving holiday starting today hopefully. Looks like the weather is finally going to cooperate.
This is the regulator. It is adjusted by tightening or loosening the nut that compresses the bellvile washers. Be sure and count and record the turns you make so it can be returned to stock setting.

.30 Cal, let us know how this higher power improves accuracy or not. Also, how many shots per fill at this new setting. Thanks.
I'm in the market for a .25 and I want one that can shoot both the regular kings and the heavies at one power setting. If it turns out the RAW and shoot them both at one power setting, I'm in!
Yeah, me too. Want to see how it is doing. The only .25 rifles I have owned was the Crow Magnum I got from Beemans back when they first came out. Then a while back tried the Sumatra Carbine, but was not real satisfied. Looking for a quality piece. Sorry don't know how to get my reply out of the quote box.

Anyway I took some photo's as I worked on it and thought I would share.
The bottle unscrews without emptying the air. Just go slow until you hear a pop of air then just spin it off. It has it's own check valve.
The bottle is removed first.
Then the stock.
Then unscrew the fill port so when unscrewing the gauge/fill port block and regulator it will clear the barrel.
Here is the fill port removed.

My RAW HM1000x was working at 960fps with 25.4gr Jsb's and it was factory setting.shot 3crows at 134y without missing and I believe its realy high power accurate air rifle in the world.
