Athlon Argos BTR Gen2 10-40x56

I got this scope from Camera Land a few days ago. I paid $299 plus shipping. I mounted it and have shot a few 30 yard challenge targets with it. I also compared it at 24X to my Arken EPL-4 6-24 set at 24X. I am happy with it. Clarity seems as good as the Arken which I think is good, especially considering the price. I wasn't sure about the minimum parallax but Camera Land is right, it's 10 yards, not 15 as it says on the Athlon website. The Arken is also rated for 10 yards but mine will only do about 12. Clicks are very definite and audible but I prefer the feel of the Arken. The Athlon is not super stiff to turn to adjust like the Arken, however. The parallax is very definitive for when you have it right at least at the low end. Should work for hunter field target but it has a very fine reticle and does not have illumination. I see it as a good but relatively inexpensive target scope. I also have a Vector Sentinel 8-32 and this Athlon has much better glass. I don't think this Athlon is a good all around scope because the reticle is so fine and it is so big and heavy. But for targets I think it's great.
