I'm not a scope guy so maybe I can be baffled by low quality but this scope here I just got in today man hell of a scope. Only thing is well I think a throw lever it won't fit around the magnification Bell or is this something else

My Gen 2 Argos did not come with a throw lever so not sure exactly what part you are referring to, can you post a picture? A throw lever is a device that either clamps or screws into your scope magnification ring that provides you increased leverage to ease changing your magnification.

Most of these levers will slide over the eyepiece and onto the power level ring. Is there a retention screw snugging the two ends together where the split is?

A picture of where you are trying to put it on with both the throw lever and scope would help here.

I assume you bought the scope used as I don’t see that any of the Argos models come with throw levers on their website. The seller may have inadvertently left one in the box that was used for another scope. But with the other posts here you probably have by now figured out where it goes and whether it fits. Its a good scope for the money, enjoy

New off Amazon. There is a screw. Once you put it over the power ring the two ends no longer can touch there is a inch (hypothetically) in between the two definitely too small. I'll show a picture when I get home.

My BTR Gen2 did not even come with lens caps or battery...
So a factory pack in zoom ring?

Yeah that’s weird, wonder if it was a return, Mine came from Amazon too, I ordered it off their warehouse deals, so it was a ”like new” deal. I was disappointed it did not come with lens caps, but Athlon does not provide them.

Mine didn’t come with that lever either. Maybe it fits the side focus adjuster? Or possibly just a screw up on the supplier’s part.

I'd go with it being for the side focus.

Hey man what's the problem - just get a really long screw and bend it, or you can use blaze orange string to tie it on, or use it like it is and you'll have a one way lever, or the best idea yet is super glue it. Just kidding man just kidding!

Call Athlon asap and they'll get you fixed up.
