Anybody have experience with this scope? Curious to its clarity at 16x and also its rangefinding abilities. I am trying to put together a somewhat inexpensive starter FT rifle for some grandsons, and this scope would fit the budget.

Budget optics for "Hunter" FT at 16x will always remain a search for the Holy Grail to some degree.
Grandsons, no formal experience in FT etc .... EXCELLENT choice as there learning curve will take quite some time to get fussy about there optics ranging prowess
Providing them with good D.O.P.E. numbers and schooled in good technique wins the day IMO.
