Sorry to say I haven't kept up on Athlon's MOA scope offerings because I use MIL.
This newer reticle is called the APLR10 MOA reticle and is somewhat similar in theme to the MIL reticle. Additionally this G2 version has much better turrets than the G1 version as well as a zero stop.
