ATN X-Sight-4K, 5-20x Pro Edition Smart Day/Night Hunting Rifle Scope OK for day and night use?

Any body use this scope for day and night use 100 % of the time. Tried the flashlight system mounted to the gun red light green light just does not work past 10 yards, Laser works pretty good if I am super fast with my shoots , If not all the mice are gone,

For night time use you need to use the infrared light that came with it. Also it needs to be pointed where the scope veiws. The head of the light can be adjusted from beam to more spill. Sometimes when they are adjusted with to much spill you can get blind back making in impossible to see. Best advice I could give is to buy an upgraded aftermarket infrared light if you want further distances then 70 yards.

Unless I’m doing super long range, the 5-20 is a little overkill. The 4-16 also has a clearer image due to less magnification. Digital scopes suffer image quality when magnification is increased. I personally don’t like the atn, or any digital scope for that matter, but I’m also a glass snob. @brawler1588 almost exclusively uses digital scopes, and he keeps going back to the atn over other digital offerings.
If you can get over the weight, I think it’s ideal if you want a day/night setup that can record quality video, and if you want the ease of ranging objects, and not worrying about dope charts or clicking.

I chose the X-Sight LTV 5-15. One of the reviews I watched mentioned something about refresh quality/time of the 4k unit. I didn't care all that much about the laser ballistics.

I sighted it in two days ago, which is a chore for a .22 air rifle since you can't zoom in when in the one shot zero mode. Yesterday I plucked off my first squirrel (recording in hunting forum). The shot was about 40 yards and was perfectly accurate. Admittedly, it does get grainy at longer zooms as you'd expect for a digital zoom.

I haven't yet tried it at night, the weather has been rainy the last few days.

The Coyote Canyon Light is the supplemental light I plan to order if the included illuminator is found to be insufficient.

I thought the cat was really neat in the hunting video,
everything I have read on the ATN scopes keeps coming up software issues. Also the views keep talking about having to use a flashlight with the night scope . I was reading the reviews on Amazon. What was I on the wrong page.Looks like I will the mice will just have to eat the poison and not the lead.

The review you referenced was written in 2020. Are there current reviews with people having issues? I'm in IT, and my feeling is that if the company stands behind the product, problems can be resolved through firmware updates if it's not a physical hardware issue. I didn't pour through the reviews, but I have to wonder if people had unrealistic expectations of what the product was. Yes, it requires an IR illuminator which appears as a flashlight.

I don't have enough time behind the lens to determine if the current product is buggy.

There was a thread on here about Optics Planet and people mentioning that they were not happy with their service. That's where I ordered from and I had the scope in two days. The 4k product has 700+ reviews and is listed as 5 stars. The LTV is also 5 star rated. They pretty routinely have 10-12% off coupons. I picked up a demo model and stacked it with an 11% off coupon, they were the cheapest by far.

I have been testing day/night scopes for a while now and if you have any other questions feel free to reach out. As for red or green lights you can't get any green light and see what you want to see but it also comes down to aiming it. I have a green light that can see 200y and more. I have owned a atn 3-14 4k pro for 2 years and mine was a refurbished one direct from them this way you still get the warranty. The reason you see so many complaints about it is because it also has the most sales because it is affordable so more people using it and if it has an issue they say it. I have found atn customer service very helpful. If you want something with all the bells and whistles atn is the way to go. You sight it in add all your data scope Height, speed, bc etc than you pair it with the abl range finder or manually input the range and it moves the reticle to that distance. No other company moves the reticle, the new pards will mark the spot where you should aim but the pard 008s lrf or the new ds35 have only 2 magnification settings and 2 versions to me the 6.5x was to close and the fov wasn't good. Next they have a 4.5x which should be better but I haven't had my hands on that one to confirm. The clearest in my testing day and night has been the wraith 4k max no bells and whistles but has different profiles so you can set one for low power close range zero and other for farther if you want. Please feel free to reach out I can share videos recommendations just need to know what your plans are distance speeds what animals etc.

This is my plan for my night scope, setting at the back of my porch shooting mice very small mice at 1st, 35 yards, I have a raised Racing Pigeon loft about 2 foot off the ground with a walk on wire floor, Feed falls through the floor, Sparrows eat a lot but I keep mice and rat poison out 24/7,, I do not want to use a flash light or laser, The neighbors can see that a mile away,, The gun starting out will be a 177 Uragan long with 500cc bottle. Pellet shooter JSB 10 gr I could shoot 400 mice and more before filling with air,,, I do like to K I S S Video would be OK as long as its simple, I have noticed some of the scopes on Amazon little bit more money but safe buying if you stay with PRIME.. I could install a very small light under the loft, would that over power the night scope?

Thanks everyone for all your input, I read everything, Overthinking the whole thing I think, Just thought I would set on it a while, Got a call from my Daughter and her husband they run six to eight horses and a few goats,, Something has been taking the baby goats lost three past couple of weeks,, Lots of houses where she lives but her land backs into 10 miles of open pasture or more,,,
So I ordered the Wraith 4 K max 3x24x50,, Be here the 18th... If I get stuck I will be asking questions 1588. My RTI PP 1 with the 30 caliber barrel may be called on...

You have my number just reach out if you need anything.

Got my Sightmark Wraith 4k max 3x24x50, I really did not get to play a lot with it at night Did not mount on gun just look through it in back yard. The words and images in the screen were blurry , Now I am sure I could have adjusted it and made it come in a lot clearer , 20 to 48 yards only . The big I am sending the scope back was the two bolts at the bottom holding the rail on were striped , Now I am 98 % positive that Sightmark would not send a new scope with striped screws, The heads were striped.. Everything else look new that I could see, But the Batterys were compleaty dead and thats a big NO NO for lithium battery's So I sent it back with a note of why and ordered a Sightmark 4k max mini 2x16 ,
Going to be mounted on my Prophet PI with 700cc bottle, 177 for shooting mice, 30 caliber for shooting the wild dogs, (cant spell coyotes), I got a 25 LW barrel but sure wished I had a 25 caliber LW in LR, o well down the road,
Should get the new scope Thursday 1-19
Mike

I put the ATN 4k Pro 3x14 on my Prophet PI with 700cc bottle with the .22 CZ barrel in it for night ratting and other nocturnal varmints at 50 yards and under. The Sightmark mini was the contender. So far I have not had any problems other than I wish the clarity of the scope was as good as the recordings! The one shot zero does work good. Battery level has been vary good although you can't change it out. Let us know what you think once you get it.

I have the folks at Airgunheaven set to send me an email when they get the .25 LW LR in stock as well as the .22 RPB. Once I have them I will have every caliber for the PP1

Paul your saying that your scope isn't as clear as the videos you have seen online?

@brawler1588 - The recorded videos at 1080P are much clearer than when I am looking out of the scope - to my eyes (which are old...). This is me recording an MP4 video and being able to watch it compared to what I just recorded so it is a very "apples to apples" comparison. That being said, don't get the impression that the scope isn't clear... it's not 1080P clear! What I do like about it is when you are at dawn or dusk, it amplifies the light so that you can see more than you can with your naked eye, which is really nice before moving over to NV. I enjoy the scope.

Was just curious but I get what your saying. I have tested a bunch of scopes so I can have the knowledge. The wraith HD in screen was a very small and hard to see compared to the atn. That said the top 2 scopes for me currently are the atn and wraith 4k max nothing can touch the auto adjusting reticle with the abl and atn yet. Pard is close but lacks the magnification range I like.
