Brocock/BRK Atomic XR caliber change?

Recently acquired a Brocock Atomic XR .177. Really wanted a .22 as all my other PCP's are .22, but they were out of stock. In hind sight, I should have waited or bought the Pathfinder in .22. Is changing the caliber on the Atomic XR a practical task, or should I just sell it? I can't seem to find any info online as to if a caliber change is even possible.
There’s more to it than just a few parts unfortunately, my advice sell it on and get the pathfinder.

I agree with the guys lol . You should have waited but hey hindsight is 20/20 you should have no problems moving it as stated above there are always people on here that love them for their intended purpose and are a reliable platform but are truly anti caliber swapping buggers and make it darn near impossible unless you are a machinist or have money to burn when doing so lol . I stepped away from them for this very reason but still enjoy some of the older versions . ;)

In time they are starting to come around and offer caliber swapping kits on the upper tier pcp's . But I will wait until it is available for all of them and can be easily attained before going with any of them again . They are a great platform just not user friendly with specs and information yet .

This is just an opinion nothing more :LOL:;)

Caliber changes are “overrated“ particularly for small, low power platforms like the Atomic/Ranger XRs. They are simply solid for their intended roles, proven through field use by many. Just buy a second gun as switching calibers, in “theory” sounds great. In “practice“? 🙄

L.Leon

I was hoping I would no offend you when I was typing it out haha. I agree they are great for the intended purpose and have owned a few . But it is still different strokes for different Folks . More than one way to skin a cat and a plethora of different Opinions and likes out there haha .

A enormous variety for of all types of us crazy pcp folks haha . I enjoy and appreciate all of the post and love you have for the platform and agree they are solid as have been my personal experiences with the bro-cocks I have owned . There is room for all of our likes and choices whatever they are and some of those are people who like to change the calibers haha overrated or not it is fun to pass the time learning to properly tune and swap things out or even repair our own choices haha.

I am sorry if I mashed a toe as I did not want too or mean too. This is the very reason I do not share all of my projects , hunting adventures , or fun any more haha . I still like to see a variety of shooter and all are free to do as they please with what they chose to enjoy with in reason of course with a dash of common sense and all .

I AGREE TO DISAGREE and wish everyone the best and a lot of fun with their hobby and adventures . I knew you would hit this one hahahahaha
:ROFLMAO::rolleyes::coffee:

You Know what Leon lol . I have mentioned many times before that I struggle to communicate very well in this fancy world of typing or text haha.

But I really felt that I owe you this much RESPECT haha .

I feel your view about caliber changes being overrated comes from experience and longevity in the hobby/sport . But when I try to explain it to a newer fellow it just goes in one ear and out the other haha . The new guy and the old fart that has nothing but time on there hands and likes to piddle around that is.
I guess it looks great on paper until you do it a few 100 times and then you start to change your mind . ( Some do anyway lol )

Is that a better way to put it ?

Oh well I tried ! It's all Good :coffee:

Yep, this is why I own many of the same model, just in different calibers.
