In my experience my Airguns seem to shoot a bit slower… outdoor temps and air density can/will affect the speed and flight of projectiles. To what extent? That’s a question for a scientist…
L.L. , You were braver then me ! I contemplated going out last night for rats after our TV time . Looked at the temps & real feel of -7 & reconsidered . The little bit of wind coming through my shooting window at the barn would have been tough to deal with.It was 10 here this am, up to 20 now. May give it a shot tonight . I'm in Central PA .
After some time left in cold weather some metallic parts ought to be frozen (stick) and unable to move normally….. I suppose.
Not brave at all… 11 quick shots and back inside… Am currently building up the courage to walk my dog… My local ratting opportunities are no more. Am hoping to establish new contacts this Spring, because shooting rats is addicting.

Then I went out after birds at the former dairy, but got roped into some work and got “skunked“ on the birds… There will be a next time, now I’m sitting here thawing out in front of my wood pellet stove… maybe tomorrow.
That’s just one of the things I love about the Atomic XR, at the ranges I’m pesting with mine? The CPHPs get it done. It does even better with JSBs. I’m coming up on a one year anniversary with mine in March. I will post up my years’ experience with it.
