Authentic Yong Heng?

Hi All,

Im looking to buy a new compressor. It will be used to fill a 6.8L maybe once or twice, and then used for top offs. Im looking at the Yong Heng and GX-CS4. The link below is the Yong Heng from Amazon, and would like your thoughts if you believe it is an authentic compressor. Would also like thoughts between the two compressors as well. The GX is on sale with a discount code for $495, while the Yong Heng through Amazon is $265. I also posted a link to the GX compressor as well.

Thank you, Erik

its real iffy 'going lowball' and getting one from a vendor that isnt moving alot of them ( look at the reviews, two?) ... how i read that is he got them secondhand probably, as returns from his uncles store, comprende? maybe nothing wrong with it at all .. maybe .. but its alot more positive usually to get something like this from a vendor thats moving 'scores' of them, even if its a few dollars more .. and yes if the pic isnt 'borrowed' it looks like a genuine generic chinese yongheng ..

Authentic Yong Hengs are manufactured by the Nantong YongyIheng Pneumatic Company, LTD of Jiangsu, China. The compressor ID plate (pictured) will note manufacturer as YongyIheng Pneumatic Company. Searching Specification Chart, in the Amazon link provided, MSTGE is identified as brand and manufacturer, not YongyIheng Pneumatic Company. Authentic Yong Heng is doubtful. WM

Pictures LOOK correct but you could always message the seller & verify it's authentic. My newer YH, purchased April of last year, sports a new model #, 30QB-SD. It seems to be more robust in build quality than my 1st one. You could probably verify the model with the seller too. Here's a picture of the new nameplate. Get the extended warranty! It's worth it! Tried to look at specs but was giving me info about a Tuxing compressor. Just VERIFY with seller!

Thank you. I will be messaging the sellers tonight.

Your compressor looks like it has a rounded cover. I'd like to see other pictures. Where did yours come from?
It would be interesting to know the upgrades.
My orginal is approaching 50 hours without problems and I have spare parts But...
If you meant MY compressor, it's a regular looking rectangular Yong Heng. I took that picture using a flashlight on the nameplate. Maybe that's why it appears rounded. It tops off tanks faster than my old one did & the oil has not discolored one iota since April or May of '24. My old one always had discoloration to some degree after a short while. Almost freaks me out how clean it's stayed, Almost. Runs like a champ. Bought off Amazon, seller was TopDeep.

So I never received any answers from the suppliers whether or not the compressors were genuine Yong Hengs. Trying to find and ensue that someone is indeed selling a genuine unit is getting be quite tedious.

Are there recommendations where I could procure a genuine unit? If not, any recommendations on another comparable compressor? This is the last item that I need to buy at this point. Ty

Purchase through Walmart and get the 3 year extended warranty for $30. I sent a note with the payment that stated acceptance of the payment was a guarantee the it was a true YH. If not they would refund the full amount and all shipping fees. I paid with Paypal and the message was recorded.
I don't know if it would have held up in court but I did receive a true YH. Walmart sent me a document for the warranty. I topped off tanks for the first year. If it was going to fail it would have under warranty.

The model number on the spec plate is YH-QB01

I want to buy an authentic Yong Heng compressor but noticed a lot of them are marked as Yong Heng but have different manufacturers. Because of the company I work for with facilities in China I know they have no copy right laws so anyone can put Yong Heng on the outside of their compressor. What is on the inside for quality materials is up to them. Amazon sell a few Yong Heng compressors all having different manufacturers.
I email Nantong YongyIheng Pneumatic Company in China asking where I can purchase an authentic one. If I get a reply I will post it.

Much appreciated. I hope they get back to you.

I got my first YH in 2019, and about covid hysteria I ran into one Canadian classifieds add for an incredible deal - locally 30 minutes drive from my house.
I went for a visit to the guy, and I saw two skids piled up with these YH cardboard crates. Visually the boxes looked soaked and the salt was dried on surface.
Turned out from the story, that a container fall off the ship in a storm, and somehow floated to BC coast and capsized on beach.
This guy brought couple skids like 50-60 units from that container to Toronto, and started selling in local classifieds.
I opened one crate right there on the spot and remember seeing on the cylinder cast iron head some corrosion from salt
Anyway, I bought two of these YH boxes for cheap, one for a backup and one I already started scavenging parts for a currently running compressor.
Just my story :)

UPDATE:

So I ended up buying. GX CS4 from the home site with their 10% discount. I did the recommended water draining and filled with distilled water. I flushed the system three times before I was satisfied with how the water looked. I have since performed a deadhead test and filled both my 250 and 300bar tanks. The 300bar tank took 9.5 minutes to fill from empty. The unit is quiet and did not get above 90* F. Very happy with the purchase thus far.
