AV ARRIVED!

7 months ago I bought the cheapest Tuxing twin I could find. $400.00 delivered. Well its still working mechanically but I need to replace switches again. Maybe later!

Today my AV arrived. fit and finish is much nicer, for whatever it's worth. I'll strap my gold filter to it vertical like the Tux. I got the vibration meter and tried it on the Tux and it worked! I'm just not sure where it worked? but it did. Filled with Purple, distilled water, ran no load for 10 minutes 98 here. 48.5 was the high. My wife said this purrs compared to that other one LOL

Thanks for reading!

As an update? This is actually put together real nice. wires are laced and tied out of the way. Stay below 66deg C with the ambient over 90! Figured out where to mount the vibration meter and I was so surprised that it is working as advertised. Fills my 60 min SCBA from 3600-4500 in 20 minutes. Tibor it is nice. I chased air for a year before buying my first one.

Congrats Dennis, I'm really enjoying mine as well. I had that issue with the piston seals but once I got that resolved it's been working great. The biggest issue with me and filling is the high heat right now, not so much the humidity. I've seen mine reach 78 degrees centigrade but I think the high is somewhere near 90. When I do catch a break in the temp and the humidity is down I'll fill if needed. I've also started running Royal Purple and change it probably more often than needed. In the sceme of things its pretty cheap. I also mounted my gold filter just as you did (brilliant minds think alike) haha. Just keep an eye out for any black crud when you purge the onboard filter as that's a good sign the piston seals have gone south. One more thing I do, when I'm near the shut down pressure I go ahead and close the bottle valve and crack open the bleeder while the compressor is still running and unload it gently that way. After the compressor is bled to zero I shut it off but leave the cooling system running for a while.
