AV46 What say you? I'm liking the looks, SSP, 480 advertised fps

What about price to quality ratio compared to a Izzy, FWB, other SSP's you've owned or could be found for about $600?

Honestly it's difficult for me to pay $600 for a Russian pistol that I paid $300 and $350 new when they first came out years ago.

I prefer the FWB 65 and FWB 80 and Diana 6 and 10.

I might be interested in getting one when/if they offer it with LH grips. For some reason I’ve always been intrigued by the 46M. I see a used one show up in the classifieds every now and then for around $500 but they always have RH grips. Adding the cost of custom grips just makes the project impractical for wintertime basement plinking Uj

Just to be clear, this pistol IS an Izzy, though with some nice improvements, especially those lovely grips.

I very much regret selling the original 46M I had (and of course like a dope I sold it for WAY too little). It's an ingenious design and wonderful pistol, the best feature being the super-easy cocking for the power IMHO. But at the time I decided my old FWB 65 was a better paper-punching proposition for me. I'd love to have another Izzy but the money is a bit much for me.

Maybe the appearance of the AV46 will have the happy effect of driving down the price of used older 46M's, LOL.

I have one of the new ones AV46 M and an original Izzy. Still working on some issues with the Air Venturi model. More post to come as working with Air Venturi progresses. The holidays will hold things up a bit. Stay tuned.

Let me guess they won't pump all the time only about half the time. Then you have to multi pump Some strokes real loose no air going in must multi pump in order to fill.

To be honest I was never partial to the 46M, or this new variant. Such an ungainly looking contraption.

Pistols should be stylish and purposeful looking to create joy of ownership, also the grip not really lending its well for sporting purposes of 2 handed grip. I hear it shoots very well but not for me.

Duck, Your 65 is a beauty and I have owned a 75 pictured ...so i must have liked it.

I ran a piece of Crosman barrel into my 75...Didnt want the barrel to extend past the muzzle and wreck its looks but i did run to the true muzzle, an extra 1.5 inches longer and picked up 35 fps ...Yeah i liked it...I have an option to buy back....The FAS 6004 looked even more beautiful to me but has not proven as robust.

Your 65 looks almost as good as my modded 53...
