Thank you for the advice!! I’m still looking to buy my first pcp. I don’t know if I’m overthinking and wanting to purchase moderator, which compressor, which caliber. I checked out Airgun Rivision. I would like the Kratos. Then I would like to buy a good use one

I have the Avenge-X Classic .25 with Donny FL SUMO and it sounds great. You can call to Donny FL and they will give you their recommendation.

I don't shoot slugs, but it is very accurate with JSB Match Diabolo Exact King MKII Heavy 33.95gr domed pellets.

I know I want a 25 caliber so order some from pyramid air. I didn’t order the MKII. I also ordered some HN sampler for hunting and aHM slug sampler.

My wife told me that my sons didn’t want me to spend my money. They got together and got me a package from Pyramid Air. My wife doesn’t know what brand or name but it’s supposed to have scope, a bipod. That Pyramid Air is supposed to mount everything before it ships. I’m so excited!! My sons don’t know my wife mentioned it to me just now. I haven’t seen them since the Super Bowl. What ever they got me it’s going to be the best to me ever!! I will post as soon as it gets here. For tuning imo yes it’s a must. There are ways around it but you’re going to want one to know velocities for certain. I have an Avenge X and seeing those consistent speeds give me peace of mind.

Avenge x was the first rifle that I started to talk to them. Them it was air max cuda, then it was Hatsan Factor. After some previous advice linen, Daystate. Will see tomorrow. Thanks again!!

Congrats bud, sounds like you have a great family. For a moderator I like the Donny Sumo and the Huggetts, primarily the Snipe. Everyones ears are a little different and so is every rifle, but those models are at least better than average. The 0db and Falx are also well liked but I have never used them. And you will certainly want to get a decent chronograph. I have a Comp Engineering that has been great for me. Wait for a sale I think I got mine for about $120.

The only thing that I didn't like about my Avenge-X Classic was that I bought it with a synthetic stock. Once I replaced it with a wooden one, I
really began to enjoy it more. Break it in, tune it, adjust the trigger, and just keep shooting. Mine is extremely reliable and accurate.

STO Falx in moderate flow on my 50 fpe Maverick made it actually quiet, unlike the Sumo. You hear the hammer hit the valve and then the pellet hit the trap.This is what worked the best on mine

I ended up replacing my synthetic stock with the wood one as well. It was just a better fit for me and my shooting style.

The wooden stock could use some thickness or a different profile, but it is still very nice. The plastic one had a crazy butt pad that always moved around on its own.
