Air Venturi Avenge X maintaince question

Just recently picked up the Avenge X, Manual says to use Silicon on O rings on the bolt probe every three months. Any special type of lube recommended?
Also how many turns on the hammer spring counter clockwise without removing the screw?

Silicone oil, just put a drop on the ring every mag.

It may be easier to put a drop on the probe in the half cock position.

A heavy weight silicone oil can be found searching lubrication for treadmill exercise machines. WM

That "Steve Shalee" <sp> reccomends the Silicone Grease, but Oil would probably do the same.

I use a heavy weight silicone oil from my rc shocks . A couple drops when the probe is pulled back.. A tip I learned from a guy from here

You can get silicone grease from a dive shop. It’s cheap.

I think you want food grade silicone oil/grease because it is more pure form So it helps to keep contaminants out of your guns.

I saw an airguns of Arizona video that said they used trident silicone grease so I bought some on Amazon. Was like 12-13 bucks for a little tiny bottle. I swear it is the exact same stuff that I get at Home Depot. I think the Home Depot grease is called oatey brand silicone grease. It’s like a third of the price. That is the stuff I use especially on probe o rings. I know Skout airguns uses and sends Dow 33 grease with their guns. I don’t like that stuff. Thick I never liked it even way back when I played tournament paintball. Back in those days we all used slick honey which I think was marketed for bike fork seals. Haven’t been able to find that stuff now days.

Buzzys is still available on Amazon. I got the yellow tube this spring. I think it's petroleum based?

I don’t remember. I know many people in the paintball world used it at the time. Although I guess paintball markers operate at a much lower pressure. Might not be good in certain areas of a pcp.
