Air Venturi Avenge-x question

I bought 3 avengex rifles for three of my boys for Christmas. 2 classic wood stock and one tactical. Is it normal for the grip on the tactical stock to feel loose and have play left to right?

I don't own an AVA but I would say a loose grip on ANY gun isn't normal or acceptable.

I believe the grip is AR compatible , so there surely is a bolt in it .
