So as I’m new to the forum i hopefully am posting this to the right place.
I recently purchased the Avenge x .25 from Pyramid.
Out of the box directly from them I fired a few magazines and happened to notice reg pressure was rising pretty quickly after it sitting for say 15-30 minutes.
400cc bottle with no less than 3000psi and topped off to 4000psi.
So after a email I was sent a new regulator.
After the degassing first I replaced the regulator with the new one sent to me.
I installed the new one and seated it gently then counter clockwise 1/4 turn per instructions in manual.
Cocked the rifle and filled to 4000psi and as I watched both gauges I happened to notice reg pressure was right at 3000psi again with bottle being at 4000.
Dry fired 5 times and watched the reg pressure drop to 2200 or so and almost immediately rise back to 3000.
So no matter what I do nothing changes.
My understanding was if the regulator was set at 1/4 turn counter clockwise it would be reset to a lower pressure and I could continue counter clockwise to set desired regulator pressure.
Honestly I’m ready to send the whole package back as this was not a cheap investment with compressor,Element Helix SFP and all the stuff needed.
So if I’m going to pick up my rifle after sitting any length of time and I see a crow I want to shoot I need to dry fire to be able to have a consistent velocity to have accuracy?
I know there’s alot of threads about regulator problems but just thought I’d ask since I haven’t had time to read much on the subject.
