Anyone ever run into a problem where a pcp won't fill? I degassed it to change regulator settings and now it won't fill past 2k.... compressor fills other guns fine....

Put some divers grease on the fill probe o-rings if it's leaking from the fill port or put new o-rings then divers grease.

The NV Liberty used a spring and ball check valve with a fill probe fill device. I believe the Avenger swapped to a male foster, but kept the spring/ball check valve. Your problem is most likely to be in that check valve. I haven't seen blockage, but have seen 3500 on fill but only 3000 in gun.

If the compressor side gauge is only reading 2K, then you have a leak. If it is above, like 2500-3000 and gun is only 2000, then the check-valve .
If it is a leak, try tightening the bleed a little more.

Are you looking at the pressure gauge on the left side of the gun, looking down from the butt end of the gun? Did you cock the gun before filling? I’d suggest degassing and starting from scratch!

I'm looking at the one that is on the left hand side (not the regulator).
The avenger holds air. stays at ~2k psi no problem, just doesn't seem to want to go above that... I de gassed by Nova Freedom and filled that up to 3500psi no problems. so I know that the compressor is working.
I've de gassed several times and it fills like it should to 2k then it stops wanting to take any more air....

Is it possible that air gauge is defective? After all we are talking about a $300 retail pcp. Just a thought. I'm looking for simple solutions here...been fooled too many times by "over-solving" such problems when the answer turned out to be stupid simple, and right in front of my eyes.
We know it takes air, so replacing fill hardware doesn't seem to answer the problem. What in that gun would self regulate the fill to 2000 psi??? To my knowledge there is no self regulating pressure device on any pcp, all we have to go by is the pressure gauge.
Question...when the gun's pressure gauge stops showing a fill above 2K psi, does the compressor still keep running? Is there a separate psi gauge on the compressor hose to show that the fill hose pressure is going far above 2K psi, while the gun's gauge stops at 2K...if so, you may be overfilling the gun to dangerous levels due to a defective gauge on the gun. Take care, this can get dangerous if the Avenger does not have a burst disc in the air tube.

well, if at first you don't succeed, try again and again and eventually you find out that you didn't have one of the fitting properly sealed with plumbers tape..... now we get a full fill....

None of the fittings were sealed with tape.
The compressor would go to 2k but not above that on the fill gauge, and then both it and the gun would stop filling any more... As far as I can tell, basically we had enough of a seal to fill to 2k, but not enough to go above...
It seems to be good to go now, but I haven't filled it since then. waiting for another sumo and associated extender to arrive on Monday.

I had same issue when I didn’t set the regulator 1/4 turn as stated in manual after turning it all way out. It would pressure to 2000 psi, but I could hear it leaking. Bump up reg pressure and try it again.
