You old boys shooting avenger x 25 cal with slugs having any success and if so what flavor and weight . Input on pellets would be fine also . THANKS !

ZAN Slugs 25 cal 26.5 grain worked on my Avenge X Tac w/bottle much better than the Nielsen equivalent. Overall the pellet is more of a tac driver than slugs. JSB, FX and AEA 26.xx grain works best. Slugs are for more for stopping/dropping power than pellets but pellets even with more trajectory and ideal conditions are more accurate consistently. Slugs normally have more diviation or dispersion. An exception to slug accuracy are guns with barrels specifically engineered to fire them such as FX, Airforce, Daystate etc. I am am not in that league but I am happy with what I have for less.

That is good info and I tend to lean the same way myself 25 and 34 gr jts pellets are averaging 1 1/4 inch at 100 yds wind permitting. I do believe it is a pellet gun .

That is an honest average with zero wind and the loose screw behind the trigger doing his job !

what speed are you shooting these slugs or wht is your hammer setting and regulator setting

Shooting JTS pellets 25 gr hammer 1 5/8 reg 1900 890 fps . 34 gr hammer 5 1/2 reg 2400 870 fps

Yes I have had equal very good 100 yd accuracy with JTS & JSB 34 GR with reg at 2400 and hammer spring in 5 1/2 turns . Right at 870 fps but they do dang good turning the spring 1/4- 1/2 backout and shoot groups to compare . 850 FPS IS FINE .

H&N HP2 34gr work very well in mine. Same pellet tune it shoots them low 800s. 50yd accuracy is great.
