Is anyone using Aztec Emerald scopes for HFT? If so, how well do they range?

I believe Donnie Reed at Baker Airguns uses one for HFT. You might PM him. He has a video on YouTube talking about the Aztec. I own the FFP version, but do not shoot FT.

I tried one. They range fairly well but the glass is wanting IMHO. I sold mine at a big loss. Don

I had redeemed a $400 gift certificate from AOA in early 2018 for a AZTEC 5-25 SFP scope using it on & off in HFT the next year or so.
While glass was fine and it ranged well the RETICLE was IMO TOO THIN and became easily lost on dark face plates and low lighting situations.
Also the reticle was MOA making holdover a counting game of short dash / long dash a bit of a pain. Really prefer Christmas tree Mil-dot/rad for faster hold reference. Tho said the floating center dot was nice and very precise as was the scaling .. just too fine for me.
Scope now resides on a .22RF pesting rifles.

I also used that same scope for a couple of matches and found like Scott said,the reticle is very thin. Seemed to range well, but lost it in the dark, and of course it isn’t illuminated. I use it on my squirrel gun now, and that can be iffy in the shaded trees.

I have been using the sfp aztec for 3 matches now. I feel it ranges very well. Can clearly see the difference from 40-55 yards.
