🥶 Baby It's Cold Outside 🥶

Hearing you guys talk is one of the MAIN reasons why most of us up here in the north wont be getting electric vehicles or giving up our trucks. We wouldn't be able to do anything without our trucks up here when we have feet of snow.

Thanks for the cold air woogie, heading down to -22°F tomorrow morning.

It's a lot warmer today at 15 than yesterday!

WHAT you don't have charging stations every 20 miles? BTW it's now costing more to charge an EV per 100 miles, than a ICE vehicle.

More like every 5 miles here :)

I fcked up when I traded my Model S when the warranty expired for a brand new one. My old one had unlimited super charging for free - now the fees are $0.58 during peak hours! Pretty insane considering just a year or so ago it was only max $0.20

Charging every 20 miles for 20 min.... yeah not worth it. And when hauling my ice house, boat, trailer, etc..... an electric car out in the boonies isn't going to last ;). Just did a look at one of the new high end mercades electric cars. Normal range is around 250 mile radius in the summer, when below zero you will drop down to 125 miles and once below zero it will go below 100 miles a charge. Have seen more than a few stranded up here in my area during the winter.

Don't get me wrong I wouldn't mind one to park in the garage and drive in the summer. But I wont give up my truck for anything. An electric car is more like a toy up here in my area.

A fun one on YouTube and there are several of them, a Pickup one gas and one EV towing identical trailers, one makes it no problem the EV 70 miles and panic sets in. Toss in freezing and that trailer had best be carrying a generator. I'm not 'against' EV's but they have a long way to go to be practical or as versatile as a ICE vehicle.

I was shooting targets for the 30 yard challenge yesterday. It’s been getting colder in Connecticut - was about 32 degrees with a good breeze.

There are 24 targets on the card. I lost feeling in my trigger finger around target 18 on both cards I shot.

Shot 185 with one rifle and 192 with the other, so I was still focused pretty well.

“Ya gotta wanna” shoot - be somewhat of an addict - when it’s cold enough to loose feeling in your trigger finger, lol.

The battery life on a MoonBike depends on several variables, such as the terrain and conditions during your ride. Typically, you can ride your MoonBike up to 22 miles (35 km) when in Eco Mode. In Sport Mode, you can ride 12 to 15 miles (20 to 25 km). You can double these distances by adding a second battery.

I’m with you man. Plus over here the cheaper taxes and general cost of living make up for the convenience of charging station. Oh and (even though I’m not supposed to say this but whatever) they aren’t about taking rights away. Well at least not completely yet. May need to flee to Florida one day but not quite yet 😄
