Anyone got any suggestions on how to make a sub12lbf Brocock Bantam mk1 a bit quieter from slingshot area? ( and no please don't say sell it and buy a X).
It's the only thing I don't like about the gun but struggling to find much in the way of any service information. There's very little information here on the uk sites. Just wondering if any members had tinkered with one to make it quiter. Ta.

The striker adjuster just changes the distance that the hammer has to travel to hit the valve pin. There is no spring adjustment on the slingshot hammer. You can shim the hammer spring with washers to give it more tension. Mainly you just shoot a few shots over a chronograph to see where you are at then adjust the striker in till you max out in velocity. Less striker if you want a quick short burst of air. Works like a Benjamin Marauder hammer.

I was discussing BRK/Brocock’s slingshot hammer system with another member over the weekend and captured this screenshot to get a better understanding of it.

Hammer removed so only the cage moving....wow that's loud....wonder if it's the spring or any other ideas ?????.....

@Dm800 That does not sound all that noisy to me. It sounds like an airgun. Is there an air rifle that you can compare that sound too that would make it easier for us to see that the Brocock in your video is noisy?
