N/A Barra 250z real world feedback

Real world feedback?

1: it's long... really long
2: it's plastic and ugly
3: it's rear bolt action. Seriously?
4: loud without a moderator which will make it even longer.
5: trigger is crappy

These are all things I've seen or read about it. I don't have one and I wouldn't touch one with a 10 foot pole, which ironically these guns are basically a 10 foot pole.

Don’t believe everything you read and half of what you see. 😉

Yes, it’s long and loud, that’s the negative I guess, probably will want to use a moderator. I’m not a big fan of long guns, but I do have a couple. Trigger isn’t the best, but it’s not as “crappy” as some other guns I’ve shot that cost more, stock isn’t that ugly imo (not pretty either) and seems to be solidly made. Haven’t shot a rear bolt action in awhile but it’s kinda fun, again, jmo. The air reservoir around the barrel looks amazing, really like this design.
I have one in .22 and it’s very accurate with the 25gr JSBs. $440 shipped from Barraairguns, seems like a bargain to me for a powerful and accurate gun.

I wonder why they didn't go side lever or side bolt? Rear bolt is awkward to keep shouldered and reloading while keeping eye on the target.

I'd like to see a compact tank over barrel setup that has a built in moderator. I don't need 50 fpe really. I'd be happy with 25 fpe and 10" shorter.

Im under the impression that this is a rebranded gun if I’m not mistaken? Definitely not a big fan of anything rear cocking, especially after getting spoiled by forward cocking side levers, but it doesn’t take long to adapt, just don’t expect fast follow up shots. Would have liked if it was a foot shorter too.
The Barra was an impulse buy for me, I wanted an FX DRS, but my airgun budget is on the low side these days. 😕. Still fun to get something new to try out.

Barra looks to now have the newer 1100z gen2 ( regulated) as add to cart instead of pre-order today ..

It's lol ke 100$ less and I guess the gen1 1100z has a good following ..

Still a limited selection but I guess there ready to ship
