N/A - Barra 250Z (Shot Show booth footage)
The 250Z stuff starts at 5:40 Gun looks awesome to me. Air tube over the barrel. Rear cocking bolt. Seems lightweight and tunable with adjustable regulator and hammer spring adjustments. 22 and 25 caliber. Says the 25 comes out of the box at 50 fpe and you can adjust it up or down from there...

Anyway we got a price on it now... $400 ... about what I was expecting from Barra. And it will come with a threaded adapted for moderators. Not bad.

I'd rather have them put internal baffles in the end vs adding even more length with a moderator. Lord knows we have the tech to makes these with shorter barrels and still produce good power.

Yeah but then subtract 70cc air volume. This rifle is already not very high shot count.
The air over the barrel design is a cool concept, mostly because it looks great. But at least for now there are limitations in air volume. There may be limitations in barrel stability on some of these. And as well, they aren't going to come with internal baffles unless a higher end product does the work to design it. I haven't looked into FX GRS to know if they're doing that or not.
Shorter barrel sure it can be done. But this is a rebranded Artemis with some tweaks. Barra is outsourcing wisely for the price point. If this thing can be cranked up to 60 or 70 fpe with the regulator and hammer adjustments, you've got a pretty capable .25 cal with the trendy new design for $400
I'm keeping an eye on this one when it comes out and people start reviewing them. If this can do light pellets and heavy slugs with a quick external adjustment then it's something I'm looking for right now in .25 ... my highest power .25 is my Guantlet 2 and it's basically not adjustable, although good power accuracy and shot count. But I happen to have a pile of assorted .25 slugs that I wouldn't mind using some day!

All the YouTube videos I seen on the M30 everyone loves them and the reliability is there too. I wouldn't be surprised to see Benjamin make a Marauder like this very soon .....

They still have not put a sidelever on the Marauder! Umarex has gone full line-up sidelever because the customers asked for it. Customers have been asking Benjamin for a sidelever for the Marauder (not some other gun from Turkey) for years, and nothing yet! Don't hold your breath for anything on the Marauder.

Why would they? Velocity Outdoor is 100% about the bottom line. All the tooling and design for the Marauder has been paid for a million times over so the Marauder is undoubtedly one of if not their highest profit margin on any model and they aren't going to go backwards on that now. They are essentially importers and assemblers of manufactured goods like almost all other mainstream airgun companies, including Barra. Barra is more a marketing company than anything else.

To just keep the customers they have, NOT to just keep them happy, but to keep them period. They are going elsewhere to manufactures that listen to what their customers want. That's why. There is no bottom line if everyone leaves.

The Marauder is still the top selling PCP from any company anywhere. They aren't the least bit concerned.

Obviously! That is what really irks me. The only reason that I love my Marauder is that I made it great, not because it came that way. Many more people, who want to buy U.S. made, would be buying the Marauder if they just did the sidelever and changed the air cylinder to aluminum. Their own polling showed those two things were what people wanted, not an import line from Turkey, but that's what we got.

It looks like the Barra version can have some AR furniture which is nice, but the JTS version has a really nice traditional stock and they are touting "power"so...
Does anyone know if samples of either of the Snowpeaks rebrands have been reviewed? I looked around the net but couldn't find anything except the Remington version and that was out some time back.

Giles Berry did a whole series re-building an M-30 five years ago on his airgungearshow.com website, which is what the Barra is. I would have got one if it had a sidelever. This gun has been out for quite awhile.

I saw the Giles video several years back. I'm just wondering if either JTS or Barra did anything different to the rifle in regards to plenum, valve etc. If JTS is saying powerful then maybe something had been modified. I'm a side lever person as well but I think they almost have to keep these bolt action to have them look legit.

I just re-watched that whole video. It is an interesting design to keep the whole gun tight but good golly Miss Molly, 50 o-rings to do it. 50! I am definately pumping the brakes and waiting for some videos from sub12airgunners on these guns. I think my AAA uses 8.

It can be done but it would certainly be a lot easier if Crosman would just give us a Gen 3, USA made, side lever Aluma-Rod.
Is this new Barra being made in the same factory the JTS is? Why no side lever? I just cannot bring myself to purchase CCC guns. Maybe someday I will change my mind, maybe, probably not. The Marauder is built to last, most of these China guns look like they are made for a few months. The screw on bolt will come loose like the one on my ex-Gauntlet and needed a winch to cock it. I will pass on both of those features.

A Gen 3 Marauder! I don't dare to dream at this point. If AAA would want to get big and license out an aluminum instead of titanium gun and drop the price 1K Marauders would fade away fast. I have given up on them doing the Marauder highend at this point. I just hope the aftermarket doesn't dry up too quickly.
