Barrel attachment for less than lethal rounds? Can it be done has it been done?

Has anyone seen any devices that could be put on the end of a lower or adjustable pcp hand gun/rifle to shoot less lethal rounds ? I belive I've seen one in the past but it was a one off , shooting hard pvc .68 paintballs I seem to remember the shooter muzzle loading one projectile and getting about 375 FPS which is pretty good considering it was a heavy plastic ball lots of non or "less than lethal launchers , like PepperBall , Byrna , Uramex,Mission,Tippmann paintball I've seen quite a bit but the price i up way up from what I've looked I'm not liking for lethal I have my utmost respect for firearm safety and own and Train regularly with the big boys 

my question is there a so-called down version of the tennis/golf ball ball launcher for fire arms for use with pcp? HPA ?

it would seem pretty simple to set ups barrel and a air valve thumb screw to open and close how much air u want to pushed down the barrel and the un used arrel go Up a 90* valve port I feel like I'm talking about soemthing s that's so simple to make with the right tools if had not been done already please send me the name of the product if it's available already I'd think it could jsut look like a king silencer without anything but a rifled way to feed and release pressure air to attach to any pcp /co2/HPA gun I'm talking for things like large crowds when non lethal is an option of just for fun

No idea on that but paintball gun would seem to be the ideal platform for that... Industry already supports it... for that matter I've seen people shoot marbles in one. I actually got shot by one on the field once. It was a frozen paint ball or a marble, not sure which but left a bruise about the size of a softball on my thigh. Four or five body hits from that would pretty much ruin anyone's day, unless they were just nuts.

Less lethal action is only pertinent with crowd controlling in larger cities - and even then it often only escalates the tension. If you are talking for home defense, I would say it is a waste of time because your ability to use a rubber bullet or paintball pepper round will only be for 1-2seconds and by that point your lethal option is gone if the intruder is able to close that gap between himself and you. If you are using a gun it is always better to have a lethal stoping force. Your goal is to stop an assailant that is going to do you eminent in physical harm (coming at you with a gun or knife). You can often stop an assailant by deterring them, but if they see a paintball gun instead of a shotgun, that is a question mark I would not be willing to risk. A non lethal gun would serve you poorly overall here.



Now if you must know, the rubber bullet option is the best I think, but not with an air rifle. If you go 12 guage with rubber bullets it can surely knock the wind out of someone. It can also blind them easily and maybe still cause death or disfigurement (hence the less lethal rather than nonlethal). I've also seen rubber slugs for 12-guage. You would need to go to some English law enforcement websites probably (that is where I have seen them used in riots).



I think that is what you mean by nonlethal. If it is, air rifles would serve you very poorly. I've seen police use paint ball guns with pepper balls, but not air rifles. Additionally, those police usually had lock arms with 300+ other officers as support, with a lot of 556 and 12 guage rounds if anything got bent. Lastly, air rifles are toys and it is best to keep them in that category. If someone is going to do you eminent harm grab your shotgun and retreat and call the cops ASAP. Leave the pump master 760 for hitting tin cans.

Once again... Airgun Nation does not condone the use of a pellet/slug gun for self defense. There are some less-than-lethal air powered options on the market but they should never be used in combination with a pellet/slug airgun.
