Barrel question Vulcan

Been shooting my Vulcan now for a few days. Wondering if any of you guys cleaned your Vulcan barrel when it just arrived. I usually don't clean my barrel till I see accuracy drop off. In fact neither of my earlier guns like the cricket bobcat or hatsan needed their barrels cleaned. Today I was looking down my Vucan barrel and I saw this.
These small marks are only on the tip or maybe less than half an inch into the barrell. The rest of it is smooth all the way down.

Now don't get me wrong, the gun shoots a 3 inch target at 160 yards 8 out of 9 times. And shoots these same targets from 60 to 160 yards even when they are placed at 10 yard Intervals. Am just wondering if by cleaning the barrel I can tighten my groups a bit more. Currently I get about an inch groups at 80 yards. I know the gun can do better. The regulator is now broken in. Have put about 900 shots through it.

Do you think cleaning this barrel will help or I should just leave it be.?

I didn't clean my .25 barrel when i got it. I got it from Talon Tunes and i know he does testing so he might of cleaned it before he sent it. I clean my barrel every tin of 350ct with a piece of weed eater string and patches and my gun shoots awesome. I'm not positive but i'm pretty sure I have those marks in my barrel i'm guessing its just led build up but i don't let it bother me because my gun is shooting awesome.

My barrel looks like that too, quite dirty even using JSBs. I clean them after every 100-150 shots for now while still new and testing.

I remove the shroud first. I use Ballistol only, take a patch of shirt-cloth and spray on it inside a plastic bag so it soaks well, then pull the cloth from the breech using a string. Let it soak inside the barrel for a few minutes, often much longer. Then I use a soft bristle bronze bore brush on a plastic coated rod to scrub the inside while still wet from Ballistol, and finish with dry patches.

Some use WD-40 but I am not convinced that it's not without any negatives. I think PA sells (or used to sell) something like FP-10 or similar.

I use the weed eater string and homemade patches too. Works great!

What solvent do you use? And do you follow up with any coating like teflon or silicone?

All I have is hoppies 9 so that's what I use. After that I just put some dry patches through.
