Based on my experience: AVOID ALAMO AIRGUNS

My recommendation is NOT TO DO BUSINESS with ALAMO AIRGUNS in San Antonio, TX.

They don't have the slightest idea on how to run a business and it shows. My experience has proven that they have NO INTEGRITY and will say anything to close a sale. They refused to answer my calls and texts. They were supposed to ship my product to me THAT DAY (a Thursday), as I needed it the following day, Friday. I emailed them a pre-paid UPS Next day label. They confirmed receipt of it. They assured me that UPS would pick up that DAY and even told me that the cut off time was 6:00PM. I placed the order, paid and sent the prepaid label before 2PM their time. As of now UPS has no scan on the product and don't know where it is.

No replies to texts and emails and when I call, always goes to voice mail and no return calls.

Do you need to experience this for yourself?

I could have gotten that product for 25% off from the manufacturers site but when I asked them if they'd price match, they said "wouldn't you rather do business with a small business than a Chinese Company?", so I gave in even though I was paying 25% more than I could get the product for from the manufacturer's site. They never even sent me an order confirmation or paid invoice/receipt even though they said that they DID receive the money through Zelle and the prepaid UPS label. I would have been much better off doing business with the "Chinese company" than this San Antonio "small business" which is a sole proprietorship.

Stupid me.

Here's a review from another customer with a similar experience: I gave Alamo Airguns a $3,300 order to be shipped to Nebraska. I sent a cashier's check overnight in order to qualify for their 5% cash discount program they offered me when I walked in the store. I called and asked if I could pick up the order since I could be in San Antonio in the coming week, and they said; "No problem". They changed their mind a few days later and said the order had to be shipped out of state to receive the 5% cash discount. They had my money and I had already made the trip to San Antonio based on what THEY told me. I had to drive to their store across town and pick up a check that they said would be mailed 3 days before. It wasn't mailed. I got my money back, but I wasted a trip from 800 miles away! Then they changed their minds again and said the cash discount now only applies to instore pick up, and was only available to "help local customers". I am a local customer, have been for two years. Poor communication and policy making on the fly, or just plain lazy. You decide.I reordered a week later to be shipped to Nebraska, and they sent the wrong air tank. They said I ordered the wrong tank, but their website didn't even have air tanks on it when I first called! I ordered a 97 CF Air Venturi tank, but they sent a smaller 75 CF Omega tank (wasn't on the web site as a choice) and charged me $50 more. Instead of calling me they threw 3 tins of pellets in the gun case and called the over charge of $50 good. It was a smaller size tank! The cans of pellet rubbed up against the FX M3 .35 cal. in shipment and damaged the finish on the receiver and trigger guard of the gun. Seriously, they threw 5 tins of .35 caliber pellets (8 pounds) into the gun case loose for shipment without any padding or protection. I tried to call them, no response. I tried texting, no response. I emailed them, no response. Customer service is almost nonexistent and they certainly don't know how to pack something for shipment, more to come on that below.I refused delivery of the wrong tank when it arrived. UPS retuned the package on 4/5/22. Alamo Airguns tried to blame me for shipping damage! I never opened or even touched the package! It turns out they did not "double box" the tank when THEY shipped it. They just threw a shipping label on the single walled box and called it good. Anything that weighs 18 pounds MUST be double boxed, its common sense! Currently, extremely poor shipping practices, they simply don't know any better.Communication with this store has been poor to nonexistent. I've sent many emails, left messages, and texts with little or no response. The responses I did get were confusing and didn't answer my questions. I asked gun and tank questions that went unanswered. Simply unacceptable. I was ready and willing to help these guys, but you can't help people who won't communicate.Avoid this company for now for out of town shipping.

They are simply are not experienced enough yet with acceptable business practices, shipping preparation, or proper customer service. Sorry, that's how I feel after this transaction with Alamo Airguns.
