Battle Ship target game

A while back I posted about some steel targets I was hoping to build. I was unable to easily get the targets cut from steel so I made them out of maple and used thick washers to reinforce the sweet spot. The actual targets are Necco wafers spray painted to be a bit brighter. I'm still looking for a better way to hold the Neccos in place. Right now they are pressed in with a little silicone glue providing resistance.

Thanks for the kind words. Ted if you ever make it to Kalamazoo, MI I'll show you wrong our ranges and go Head to head with these. I'll need a but of a handicap... You'll be shooting a Red Ryder off hand without sites. After putting your head on a baseball bat and spinning about two dozen times.

Ill use my nicest rifle off the bench. ;-)

Anyhow I'm on a mission to acquire a lot of fun targets. Mix up the Bench Rest, Field Target and Silhouette.

Hi Kazoo,
I have made similar targets for years.
I have a suggestion you might be able to use. I place my screws horizontally and put a small washer over the screws behind where your washer is. This allows it to rock and really cuts down on ricochet.
Also, I put a shelf and use sections of old bed rail behind the hole. It rings and the hole opens/lights up when hit.
Here is a picture of the target and shelf.
Thanks
Mike
