Bayou AirGun Club - Field Target Match Report for August 12, 2023
The weather was great at Lafitte Park, Baton Rouge, Louisiana for the Bayou Airgun Club Field Target match this day. Much of the shooting area was in shade and some kind people brought donuts and large fans to feed/cool the shooters during the safety meeting that preceded the match.
The 40 shot match involved 20 reactive, drop-down metal targets that were set between 10 and 55 yards and had 3/8” to 1.5” kill zones. There were 10 lanes in the Oak Alley area, one of three such fields the club uses during the course of a year.
There were 17 shooters, including visitors from Mobile, Alabama.There follows the match results as grouped by shooting classes. Carey H was the high scorer of the day. Chuck I had the 2d highest score and Ron G had the 3d highest score.
Much thanks to the set-up and the pick-up crews for setting-up and returning the targets before/after the match.
