Beeman 1358 Underlever

So what’s your opinion on this Bullpup, from what I have experienced, it’s not a bad gun for the money, it’s a tack driver for me to abt 70yds or so.. I mean it’s definitely not comparable to my Armada or DAR Gen 3 but for the money I think it’s a good buy.. what mods and Improvements have you made? Functionality or cosmetically? I picked up 3 of these, one for myself, the wife and my kid, well neither one was interested in the hobby unfortunately.. I do have one more brand new one in the box if anyone has something for trade, I would sell but id prefer more Airgun related items..lol that I don’t already own.. I’m in the Chicagolan/Nw Indiana area.. also if anyone is local and wants to get together and do some plinkin/paper punchin ect.. feel free to leave a comment or msg, I’m retired and finally have some free time.. hope everyone has a great weekend!

I think these guns are kinda cool, kinda goofy, but cool nonetheless. im kinda interested in the under lever cocking system, not many other PCPs have that (I mean for good reason but still) for about $250 I think its a pretty solid choice. I think the only major issue I saw online with these guns was the scope rail being plastic, but that might not even be an issue at all. the reason I haven't picked one up is because I like to run bipods on my guns and that would be a real tricky task for this gun I feel.

The rail, It seems pretty stout, as long as it isn’t being tossed around I don’t think it will be an issue, doesn’t seem to be flexy.. I will say out of all the Bullpups I’ve had this one feels the best on the shoulder freehand IMO, way better than the Avenger, Flashpup or Bull Boss… But then again I didn’t care for the Avenger Bp really at all, it just felt big, clunky and cheapy plastic feeling..

I have both a 1357 and a 1358 and after a hammer spring change they are a couple of my favs but the Huben's K1/GK1 in .22 take top spo

You can get bipods that attach to the side rails. Works great.

Kind of been eyeing those.Looks like a handy package for pesting.
And just an all around cheap plinker.
Like the ambi cocking lever appeals to me as a lefty.
I am a lefty as well. Most bull pups won’t work for me because of the cocking lever location. I got one of these right after they came out and really like it. The trigger is my only complaint. Gun itself is very accurate out to 50 yards.

I have an avenger bullpup and I can agree with you for the most part, but the performance is keeping it in my number 1 spot. I mean 43 foot pounds out of a 22 and dime sized groups at 40 yards for about $300 is still remarkable, even with the clunky plastic stock.

that's an observation I failed to make. I guess that would be just about the best and easiest way to achieve lefty friendly cocking.

I’m definitely not knocking it on performance, it’s an absolute tack driver, regulated.. just as far as feels go.. ehh.. lol

yep I totally agree lol. I kinda view it as the old FX Bobcat, kinda goofy looking, kinda clunky, both could have been better but they both perform :). im going to get so much hate for comparing an avenger to an FX airgun

I would love to get an FX, unfortunately it’s a lil outta my budget, I went from years of break barrels to buying one cheap pcp & a compressor.. Then it was all over.. 😂 now I’m addicted! My Armada is Probably my highest end rifle @ around $700 I think when I bought it awhile back..

Although one of my favorite rifles is my DAR Gen 3 I’ll tell you what for a sub $300 rifle that thing is the absolute most you can possibly get for the money IMO I absolutely love that thing!
