*** Beeman 2027 .17 cal. PCP Pistol (review sorta kinda)***

 Beeman 2027 pistol, for $150.00 I feel this is a great buy, VG accuracy, (see pics) fit and finish VG both metal and wood. Bore was the nastiest I have ever cleaned (see pics used more than what is in pic.) but it cleaned up bright and shiny after a total of about 10 minutes. Barrel is easy to remove two set screws on top. I removed sights, using small block of wood to tap front sight off. Installed red dot, had to do minor sanding on inside edge of grip shelf so it would slide up further on grip. Installed short rail on bottom for bipod. It will do over 50 shots before refill is needed. Found a fat tipped ball point pen ideal for seating pellets as you are loading, seats them evenly below the plastic cover. See pics of targets @ 15yds and 25yds these all were shot with a red dot. cronographed five shots all between 500 - 600 fps

its basically a bandit clone, or the other way around lol who knows ... my bandit puts them out at 850+ though, pretty easy to dead ringer something golfball size out to 50 ... with a scope ..

Nice pistol. Yeah, I would say it is very accurate.

NO it is very different from a Bandit. Power level is super easy to set with a 5mm Allen wrench at the back of the barrel. You can bring it out to get 100 shots (at about 300 fps) or take the spring all the way in and get 30 to 40 shots at 600+ fps. Receiver is set up different as well. The Bandit bolt does not pull out the back of the receiver where the 2027 does. Safety is a flipper style and trigger is a a much longer pull (I am still trying to find and Allen key that fits the adjustment bolt. Magazine is a 12 shot and a lot smoother than the Bandit. It is what I imagine CARM would come up with with the o-ring place holder. Accuracy is great and action is smooth. Of the 2 I prefer this over my Bandit despite it being heavier.

Trigger adjustment screw requires a 2.5 mm allen wrench with the ball end.

Thank you! I'm heading out this weekend to pick up a set as the only 2.5mm I have is a T-handle and I don't want to drill a hole in the guard to fit it in.

Is it OK to leave the fill probe in the gun all the time?

I purchased this Beeman PCP air pistol with caution. The stated 600 fps max velocity is way below what I am getting with Winchester 7.54 gr. dome and HP pellets the max velocity for ten shot average is 938 with hammer spring all the way in. I can get approximately 20 consistent shots at that velocity. I currently have backed the hammer spring out and am shooting it at 825 fps and get three magazines (36) consistent shots at this velocity. You can certainly go slower, at 400 fps I was getting 60-65 consistent shots.
This is from a 50 cc 2900 psi fill. I have a 2x7 Aims pistol scope attached and at 825 fps it shoots itty-bitty sub half inch holes at 25 yards. It has plenty power out to 35 yards for European Starlings and English Sparrows. Haven't attempted anything larger, wish we could get the 22 caliber here in the USA. Great value for the money.
