Is it laminated sorta like Mk1 & Mk2 BSA Airsporter stocks were? If you know how they were glued up from 3 pieces of walnut.I feel lucky to have come across this one . Big thank you to JC aka kingfisher 61

That's a great bit of information, and if you visit the Richards Microfit website it's obvious where these stocks came from. I wonder if they would still make one up, as a special order? The Beeman FWB Fancy Deluxe stocks first appeared sometime in 1976. I know of less than a dozen of these special guns, both with and without checkering. We call them Beeman Custom Shop guns, but in reality, I believe they were made by Richards Microfit and only the final finishing was done at Beemans. The earliest record of a Beeman Custom gun carved by "Richards" was in 1974. They are beautiful thumbhole stocks made for the FWB124. Of course Bob Law of ARH had several custom stock offerings as well. These included custom stocks for the HW50, HW55, what he called a Model 350 (which was an accurized HW35 in a custom stock), and the famous Custom Model F-120. All made by Richards Microfit out of California.
Karl, That's the only Beeman thumbhole stock that looks like it's been laminated. Could be Richards was doing some experimenting back then.Is it laminated sorta like Mk1 & Mk2 BSA Airsporter stocks were? If you know how they were glued up from 3 pieces of walnut.
It looks like 2 pieces of walnut. A darker walnut with a blonde walnut through forearm and top of grip. Definitely interesting pictures don’t do it justice. Is it laminated sorta like Mk1 & Mk2 BSA Airsporter stocks were? If you know how they were glued up from 3 pieces of walnut.
When I got it it had some wear in finish definitely not a safe queen . I had my friend Scott Blair refinish for me. Originally had the heavy clear coat . I just had him leave with oil finish no poly coat.It looks like 2 pieces of walnut. A darker walnut with a blonde walnut through forearm and top of grip. Definitely interesting pictures don’t do it justice.
That looks amazing. Been on the hunt for 1 of those for my collection they seem to be few and far between. This is not my gun, but it's so much better than my own! Custom Shop stocks must have come in different grades, as is the case with Richards?View attachment 530242View attachment 530243View attachment 530244

The stocks are lefty friendly. You should do a show about them. I would watch!Lucky for you that they're all right handed guns. I know where to find you, John.![]()

I’m getting my swim fins. The stocks are lefty friendly. You should do a show about them. I would watch!
I was actually watching your show today. The ones about the LGU. I picked up 3 of them. One is from special UK run of 100. It's called the LGU Royale. Heres the add they ran...
THIS IS FOR DESCRIPTIVE PURPOSES ONLY. THIS RIFLE IS NOT FOR SALE.
Walther .177 LGU Royale Limited Edition Air Rifle. 44cm long barrel. Gold trigger. Walnut stock. Overall length 107cm. Complete with Enfield Telescopic sight. Complete with slip. Both rifle and sight are complete with original boxes.
They didn't mention that the recoil pad is adjustable, or that the stock is made by Minelli. These were retailing for nearly 1300 Sterling new!

Just to clarify and based on your previous very informative posts over the past few years, the "King Bee" and "Queen Bee" are Beeman marketing terms for a Beeman Custom Shop FWB 124/127, or a Weihrauch HW80 or R1?Definitely not a queen bee. King bee
Good question!Just to clarify and based on your previous very informative posts over the past few years, the "King Bee" and "Queen Bee" are Beeman marketing terms for a Beeman Custom Shop FWB 124/127, or a Weihrauch HW80 or R1?
Are all Beeman Custom Shop guns "Kings or Queens", or only the very best ones, aka "extra fancy", like your's or this one I showed but do not own?
If a stock only came from Beeman Custom Shop, does that make the gun a "Beeman Custom Shop" gun, or just a gun with a nicer stock than usual?
Am I getting to far out in the weeds with these questions, and is anything whatever you want it to be...![]()
I think the text answers my question. Apparently the scope came separate.Nice looking gun. Seems odd for a Walther to use a British scope. BSA made Enfields, is it a BSA imported scope?
