The R1 has been touted as the "workhorse" of the Beeman line since it's inception. Perhaps it could also be described as the most versatile rifle Beeman ever produced. How many times have we seen that marvelous post by Dual Mag Mike showing all the different variations?
One of those variations was the factory produced Field Target R1. It sported an adjustable comb and an adjustable butt pad.
I've read some threads over time that say none of these rifles were ever actually manufactured. Others say that very few exist. Personally, I've owned 4 through the years. So, I can say they indeed exist and I'm not to sure how uncommon they are.
All this speculation is one of the things I enjoy about old Beeman, Theoben, Weihrauch and FWB rifles. Always some new twist out there to learn about.
Anyway that's my problem.
Here's a couple of pictures of an R1FT which I just got back today after 8 years in another collection.
