Beeman Beeman Raider unscopeable?

I’ve been playing with a .25 caliber Beeman model 1332 Raider for the last week. After a day of walking the woods hunting I noticed the POI had shifted. I tightened all the screws and re-zeroed. Two days later I noticed the the POI was off again. Not much but enough to cause a miss on a squirrel at thirty yards. Not happy I replaced the heavy scope with a lighter one and found some lower, heavy duty magnum springer rings in my box. I hunted hard for two days but never got an opportunity to shoot at game. This morning I had the opportunity to take some test shots out to 75 yards. The first pellet hit four inches to the left. I cranked on some azimuth to the scope and tried again. Dead center that time. Now this may be the result of indifferent zeroing the last time I adjusted the scope. I was zeroing at 20 yards with a correction for elevation to 35 yards (1/2 mil high at 20 yards) so I may have inadvertently biased the scope to the left and not realized it until I stretched the range out to 75 yards. I took my time and zeroed the gun at 75 yards with 20.06gr H&N FTT. I’m going to drag it around hunting for a couple more days but I suspect that the synthetic receiver is not securely enough attached to support a scope without shifting.

Are there any other Beeman Raider owners here? Has anyone else experienced wandering zero after scoping this gun?

I have no wandering zero on mine, but I only target shoot and treat the rifle gently.

In the field many airguns will have a wandering zero, with or without a synthetic receiver.

I also have the .25 and I don't feel I like the plastic breech. I've had plastic breeches before on other builds and I wasn't to fond of them. I like my breech secure and have bought a metal side lever breech for mine. I need to fab a new bolt to convert it to. 25 from 22. Just from testing it the plastic breech has a flex and the transfer port leeks. Maybe I will give it a try with a scope before I swap the breech and see how it holds up. Mine will also be a hunting rig.

airgunner53 you could use a tube to sleeve the probe then file it down in a drill to make it a .25. I did it to my .25 Raider using a 1100z Barra breech. Easy to do. If using the Barra breech you also have to turn down the hammer lug that fits into the breech. Also easy to do. Let me know if I can be of any help. I also have 2 extra breeches that are .177 and .22 with barrels and Benjamin Akela fitted shrouds. Only fit 2 baffles but can be used. They have the 22 inch Barra 1100z barrels.

I had not considered that thanks. I was going to go the long way round and make one. Hitting the hardware store on Monday. What material did you use. I was thinking brass but not sure of the longevity. I actually have had a laithe for a year now. When I go into a Hobbie, I go way too deep. I was unable to find the Barra breech as they said it was a no go. And icon breeches I did not find. I bought the quick shot side lever on the online auctions.

Here is screen shot of tubing I used on several probes. Used 5mm x 7mm x 300mm' I may have a piece left somewhere. Let me know if you need any help or info.
