I had a good weekend of shooting for sure. Both the rifle and me (for the most part) was firing on all cylinders. Did not expect to win, and only hoped to hang close with Bill Rabbitt. He is the man!

Yea, I'm proud my Marauder and UTG performed as well as they did. If you have a well tuned rifle that you know inside and out, you can be competitive! I may never shoot that well again, but I'll remember that championship for a long time!

I give the credit to God- he gave me steady hands and sharp eyes that weekend.

I have been hoping to try HFT this year, and have been thinking about a .177 Marauder as a practical and economical choice for a first timer, and your results show it certainly has potential as long as the operator has some too! With some tweaking and tuning, the Marauder can be a very accurate rifle for Hunter Field Target. Mine is not even regulated, so I know how much to fill it and how many "sweet spot" shots I can get between fills. This is the only rifle I shoot, so I know it very well. To the point where I can tell I'm getting at the end of my sweet spot fill by the tone of the shot. 

I had some TOUGH competition, and am blessed to share the match with them. Thankful God gave me steady hands and sharp eyes that weekend! I have never concentrated so hard over two days in my life!

The Benjamin Marauder is a good choice for Hunter Division. Marauders have been used to win National Championships several times:

2011, 2013, 2016, 2019
