I have been looking for bells you can actually hit, but they do get pretty expensive if they are to stand a chance against a FAC .177 rifle.
To compensate i have been thinking, what if you block direct hits, so you would just grace the bell.
Plenty cheap to build one up

I tried Bell Target, but every time I ran the bell I drooled all over my air rifle

Everytime we rang the bell I thought I won a prize 🏆 ( carnival/ arcade "DING" .lol)

These were bells I created for my entertainment and FT matches. There was a post back a while that documented many different types of bells and unique targets...These are well used so not very elegant, but fun... The top middle is the point of this post.
Wayne Burns brought some targets to LD's Temecula Challenge one year and among those was a similar one using 2" x 8" x 3/16" rectangular tubing for construction. It rings SOOO sweetly... , kind of nice church bell like and loud enough, but not obnoxious. It would be a candidate for that and holds up to ANYTHING airgun related...
The squirrel uses a 10" saw blade and is pretty loud but a harsher sound. This was another Wayne Burns target with an old saw blade from his business. It's held up to thousands of rounds, many many of which were over 50 ft lb. Good blade... hasn't even dented. I tried a couple of my own and 50 ft lb would go right through them.

LD acquired a copy of the English bell target and during his matches, a few of us would often stay up till 1 or 2 in the morning... shooting the bell with a bunch of different rifles and pistols and shooting the sh*t... FUN times...

would not the ringing attract neighbors attention to your shooting ? i live in a shooting OK area , but i think i would not like to hear a bell 10 or 20 times in a row . YMMV
cool projects here , i like the idea's posted . i hung a saw blade up and my neighbor ask what the ringing was a city block away .

I've heard using old c02 bottles from paintball guns that were emptied and cut in half hung up vertically make great "bells" when shot with pellets...

Fortunately I'm in the country and my shooting doesn't bother anyone. If used indoors, where it's intended to be shot at 6-7 yds off-hand with low power .177, it shouldn't bother anyone.
