Benjamin Ben 392 and copper pellet

Brass is more muscular and stiffer than Copper. On the metal hardness chart, brass hardness ranges from 3 to 4, and the hardness of Copper ranges from 2.5 to 3. Brass is made by mixing Copper and zinc; more percentage of zinc translates into more robust and ductile brass

The pellets are plated, and the copper is measured in microns. Probably not the best to shoot in the 392, but it would take literally 1000's of rounds to do any damage.

Septicdeath is correct when he states "probably not the best to shoot in the 392". The Benjamin barrels are actually bronze, so in reality, they are hard enough that the copper-coated pellets should not harm the rifling. Here's the rub: over time, will copper build up in the rifling, causing accuracy issues? There's a solvent called Sweets 7.62 that is great for removing copper from steel barrels, but because of the copper content in bronze, it should never be used on Benjamin airguns.
