Bench Rest 8 x 8 Competition Target

Hello everyone,

A good surprise this morning it was not in the mid 90's at 7:am, it was a very comfortable 81 with a slight North breeze and overcast. A perfect day to do a bit of target shooting with the .177 Crown MK II. Shot several test targets and then shot one of the 8 by 8 Targets at 30-yards rather than the 25-yard so I was a bit lenient on scoring two of the hits. Followed that up with shooting a #22 Target also at 30-yards. Ever since I polished the bore on this rifle the accuracy seems to improve a tiny bit every time that I shoot it. Overall just another fun day shooting a lot of pellets

Have a great day,
ThomasT

Well i just tried to make it more open sight friendly . As a revision 2.0.. still that bull's-eye dot size is at my limit at 20 anyway.. i still got confused on the center 5 ones..

Maybe later on and the sun hits just right i could see it better, we'll see.

Them were early first shots of the day and maybe 2ed cup of coffee so i guess i could do worse.🤔. Well pretty sure i can..

Enjoy.

So...... Nutten better to do i thought id slap the gamo package scope on the gamo ( whisper fusion mach 1)and try again. So bolted it on and a few zero shots printed a target , and the try. All under a 1/2 hour..

Ya i aint no scope guy 😭

Hello again Mo-Ron,

Well I see you have some unique scoring rules 😵

One, you shoot multiple shots at one target and have a choice to pick from...I like that 🙄

And you are scoring on the half-point system....I like that too 🥴

I also see that the scope improved your score a lot 👍

Have a great day,
ThomasT

Tom i dont care about scores.. i just throw lead for fun. Then pick what, the same score area? Its not like i shot a 8 and 10 and just picked the 10...lol. nothing professional here.. not even close .. if this 15-20 mph thunderstorm winds ever dies out i may try again. Thats what i was bucking above. Not to say still wind id do any better anyway.

Rickety sawhorse bench and old stuffed sock on a wood jack block.

Hello everyone,

The last couple of days I have been shooting nothing but 25-yard targets and really concentrating on the 8 by 8 Competition Target. Perfect morning to shoot with a cold temperature of 60 degrees, low humidity, clear sky and dead calm wind. This is my best score to date with this target and shooting the FX Crown MK II .177 cal and using JSB MRD 13.43 pellets. I will shoot four more a bit later on after it has warmed up some.

Once again, great work Thomas!
Good morning Bigragu and thank you,

I should not be missing any of the outside 10-Rings but as you can see I got two 9's which really hurts the total score. When I do get all 8 of the outside rings then I miss a bunch of the "killer" inside rings ...this is still a fun target to shoot.
