"can't understand what makes young guys all want to pretend that they are "Rambo" with their AR-15 rifles as they stand at the range and shoot up a box of ammo in a fe's arr are thing w seconds lucky to hit a pie pan from twenty yards"
Man I LOVE your take on that drill. I'm an old fart Vietnam Vet and often shoot ( PCP's) with Vets of similar age. Our bodies are shot up, worn out and out of warrantee so PCP's are great for us . Sometimes when we go to the range and set up at the 100 and 200 yard targets some young kid shows up with an AR and does the "Rambo Stance" and drills dirt, at or around a target. Hay it makes him happy fine I ain't buying his ammo .But we cant help but laugh as the fella slaps in magazine after magazine and tries for a barrel burn. One of the fellas, usually an old USMC Gunny, always makes the comment " Wonder how he'd do under fire?" LOL
It's a wild and womderfiul world at the range as we all know and while trying not to be too judgemental some of the stuff I see will either make me laugh or run like hell for cover.
