Can anyone tell me how many turns is factory setting for the preload springand hammer strike or a good setting for them? I have them all out of wack it does not sound right pellets are all over the place. Please help
I would back the striker all the way back and start with 3 turns on the hammer spring. Do you have a chronograph? It will be very hard to tune without one.
Yes and I should have been more specific it's a .22 cal and I'm shooting H&N 18.25 gr slugs. I watched a video of a guy tuning a Benjamin Marauder 25 caliber and he did five and three on the turns and it seems to be better. But I was doing it without a crono but I have one coming today
Are you or anyone else familiar with the Benjamin Gunner the other day it would not cock back all the way and I had to take the stock off and pull the hammer spring out and the spring had lost all resistance like it was just worn out the gun is only three months old it has gotten a lot of use but do those springs wear out that quickly is that a common problem with the gunner or just mine it's a .25cal.
