man, it still hurts when i go there and see that akela for $169 out of stock..
I would look daily. They came back in stock already once, and went back out soon. One of the guys from AR said they had some, but were holding them until they had a magazine supply.
If you see them in stock again, don't hesitate! It's a good gun for double that price!

They are all good guns, all 3 in that lineup. For that price, I might grab another Akela and put in the chop shop.

We have plenty more coming towards the middle and the end of January. We are prototyping mags with Carm next week. We should have inventory of mags to purchase as well. Also in .22 cal. These mags will also prevent pellets from falling back into the charging bolt area. The 169 pricing was for the holiday season only. 199 is what they typically go for from us. Most all the .177 guns are actually new due to a re-boxing of .22 guns at Crosman.
Also we are working with Carm as a distributor for his upgrade Stoeger mags in all cal, Bullshark and Scout, Ranger guns.
We ran out of .177 Bullsharks but expected to have inventory once the optional .177 Bullshark mag is here as well.

The .177 Akela shoots well.
It was a refurb.
There were 2-3 small marks on the metal part (air tube, barrel band).
The stock had very small signs of use.
It was definitely worth the less than $200 price (includes shipping which is $24).

The only things I changed were:
-added a 3D printed moderator
-replaced the hammer spring with a weaker one.
My current tune is:
Pellet: Crosman Premier domed 10.5 grains
Pressure: 3000 PSI to 2000PSI
Velocity: 865-895 FPS
Shots: 70 shots (5 mags)

AND! I had a new Ronin for a .50 cal I got in trade. It wasn’t being used. So I got the DonnyFL adapter and put it on. That in conjunction with the 6 internal baffles in the shrouded barrel. WOW. 82–86 decibels.
AND! I’ve shot 24 pellets through it so far & I swear this thing is making its own air

Great gun but not made in America. Made in Turkey. Where else can you find a budget gun with such a beautiful WALNUT stock. Only the Turkish can do that. Just like they do with hatsans. Beautiful wood on some of these rifles.

For $192 shipped for an Akela in .177cal, it was hard to pass up. The only problem it has was finding extra .177cal magazines. I had to order one overseas, that should be here within a week. The only thing I added with a threaded adaptor piece.
