I am new to pcp air guns I need some help. I have had my Benjamin marauder .25 cal for about 1 year have shot it consistently the whole year probably shot about 500-1000 pellets threw the gun. Just recently I have been having issues with the bolt going closed smoothly it’s like it’s getting hung up on the magazine. Also it is much louder now all of a sudden it sounds like a 22 rifle. It is also blowing air back in my face everytime I shoot it. The air comes out from the bolt area not sure if any of can help with any issues thank you

O ring. It is probably dry rotted. Just order a new one and pop it in. I had the same rifle and mine actually fell out one time but I managed to pop it back in, its a pretty easy fix! Hope this helps!

Yeah, if the gun is a lot louder it is more than likely that it is your breach o-ring. Pull the magazine out and pull the bolt back. Take a flash light or bore light and shine it just inside the rear of the barrel. You should be able to see the o-ring about 1/16th of an inch inside the rear of the barrel. If all you see is a groove cut in the metal the o-ring is missing which would explain both the squirt of air you are experiencing as well as the very loud report of the gun. Get a new one and install it. The easiest way to install that o-ring is to push a 3/16th inch dowel rod down the barrel from the muzzle to the breach then push the o-ring in the rear of the barrel using the dowel rod to keep the o-ring from going past the groove. Once you have the ring in the groove, you have your fix

I also had issues with my 25 marauder... it is the breach o-ring ..... easy enough to replace.. not sure of size but easy enough to look it up online...

What pellets are you shooting? 500-1000 shots isn't much. But if your using the big skirted pellets you could be shortening the life of your oring. Just a thought. I ran into this with my .25 Renegade using JSB 34 older design. Took out my oring in a couple of tins.

Regular lubing of the bolt probe oring as recommended in the manual really does ( except I try about every 200 shots) extend the life of that oring to years.

There is a o ring just inside of the barrel that seals the bolt when you push the pellet into the barrel. You may have forgot to push the bolt all the way in and shot the rifle. Check this first.

I am going throught the replacing the Breech O-ring issue on my .25 cal.Mrod. I have been screwing around for a few hours trying to re-seat the oring. It's got me crazy. I have done all the usual things. I lubed the oring with Silicone grease, I then use a cleaning rod in the barrel so I can put the oring on the rod when it comes out of the breech. I then have used dental picks, hemostats, my pinky finger, etc. to get the oring into the barrel. I get it in okay but of course it's folded in half and I go through all the fiddling around to try to seat the oring with NO success so far. I have been through this before with my Vulcan and found it to be "just plain luck" when I finally got it back in.
I was wondering or hoping if anyone has figured out any other methods or tricks to get the orings back into the barrel? Man, if someone could make a tool that did this job they would make a million bucks. Any ideas?

I went to Lowes and got the #5 rings with the 3/16” dowl 3/8 x1/4 o rings fit perfectly and a couple of minutes to install. Aired up my Marauder to about 500psi and shot it was quiet. I have Donny Fl Sumo. Hope this helps, BTW I also ordered a pack of o rings from ”Captain O Rings” gottem for my Marauder, Gauntlet, and my Bulldog.

Stephen you might have some debris in the o-ring slot not allowing it to seat properly. You might have to take the barrel off the gun to allow you easier access and gently run one of your dental picks around in the o-ring slot to clear any debris out. Then using a small dowel will help to seat it. I just went through this yesterday with my .177 marauder. They can be a PITA to seat sometimes.

Stick a pellet just inside the barrel and just past the groove, then use your cleaning rod inserted from the muzzle to hold the pellet from sliding forward. This allows you to press on the O-ring without it going past the O-ring groove. Much easier to do this way.
