As promised here is a review of my new Benjamin Marauder Field & Target .22 with a Hawke 4 - 12 X 40 Vantage scope. This is my first PCP and I am now certain that it was the right choice. This rifle is awesome. I am sure that others will follow, but this one is perfect for right now. I read the manual and watched a bunch of videos so I was well prepared .A very easy rifle to figure out and a pleasure to shoot. I used a Hill MK4 pump to fill it the first time. Took about 200 pumps to get it to 2800 psi. A real workout. I had the fore sight to get 3 extra mags with it giving me 4 altogether. Which I loaded up with Crosman domed pellets. Shooting was done in my basement 10 yard range. I dialed in the scope with the first magazine. I then shot a 10 shot group that you can see below. Certainly not amazing, but good enough for my first group. I ended up firing 80 shots. The pressure dropped from 2800 to 2000, but point of impact was consistent. Over the weekend my Nomad II compressor came in and I was itching to try it. So after getting down to 2000 psi I took the opportunity to top off the fill. Took under 3 minutes and worked like a charm. Sure beats a hand pump. Through these cold months my basement range will have to do. Come the warm weather I look forward to seeing what it can do at 50 - 100 yards. Oh yeah, the trigger is great.
