So I bought my first break barrel. Picked up the Benjamin Trail Combo from PA. Mounted scope, and hit the range. Couldn't get zeroed in at 15 yards. With windage all the way to the left couldn't get closer than 3'1/2" b/t POA & POI. Otherwise grouped well, which seemed odd to me. I didn't have another scope or rifle to swap and compare. Looking for thoughts. Think I wrecked the scope already, or looking at a barrel issue?

If it were a "wrecked scope" then it probably wouldn't group well. Most likely a scope/rail/barrel alignment issue. Adjustable mounts and bending the barrel are options. I use adjustable mounts myself but many bend the barrel.

Try turning the mount around..flip them 180 degrees. First front then rear then both.. see if that is a difference.

I use SportsMatch for a lot of my guns. Elevation and windage adjustable and lock into position solidly. Eagle Vision and FX also make adjustable rings. Burris makes some very nice rings that use varying sizes of inserts to allow windage and elevation adjustment. Multiple options.
