Benjamin’s new rifle

I likey! It would appear to have a much more solid breech/airtube connection then the Discovery or Maximus. Shrouded barrel and regulated as well? Watch out Gauntlet....
Makes me wonder if a Marauder trigger group will fit, with a Marauder trigger it'll be tough to beat.

A bit of history-back when the Marauder was new, Benjamin introduced a Marauder/Discovery hybrid, the 'Katana'. It had a choked barrel, Marauder trigger group, and nicer stock than the Discovery. It did suffer from the less than rock solid breech/airtube attachment the Maximus and Discovery still use and was only single shot and rather loud without a moderator. It was my first PCP and was pretty accurate though it suffered from poi shifts. I did like the 2000 psi working pressure since i fill with scuba tanks.
It never caught on, being just a little lower priced than the Marauder. Looks like the Fortitude may have addressed some of those issues.

"Dairyboy"Looks like everything on the lower is Maximus which can fit the marauder Gen1 triggers I would really love one of these!
Not sure about this as the fill pressure is 3K,

First question would be is "Can you still get Gen 1 triggers?" If so how much? If $75 then this gun with trigger would by $374 and you have to put the trigger on. Question would be why not just get the MRod for $404?

From November to now, I have seen Marauder deals that pushed the price for new rifle down to $320-ish. So hopefully the street price of this rifle quickly drops to maybe $250-ish, which is where it needs to be to compete with the other new low-end PCPs. But this is definitely a rifle they have needed to offer for a while.

And it's certainly has the potential to cause a precipitous drop in BNM Custom Products' orders!!! (As well as TKO and Rocker1 LDCs).

As for fitting the Marauder Trigger group, we learned from the Maximus that we can't assume old mods still work, we will have to see how they put together this particular rifle. (Actually we also learned that with Gen1 and Gen2 Marauders.)

I think the fact it was on Grab A Gun says it's not a Midway re-work of a Crosman gun. Where it's out of stock, not on the Crosman site, and completely unavailable, all we can do is speculate. However, the 90 shot count claimed would indicate that it's regulated. I've been considering a Maximus just for tinkering. If the Fortitude is regulated, I might consider it rather than a Maximus.

Progress in this industry is beginning to resemble PC Computers in the late '80's. Fast and furious. New products, lower price points, and better quality all the way through. I suspect Crosman knew they need to compete with the likes of the Gauntlet, as the Guantlet is as good (maybe except for the trigger) as a Marauder, and regulated. The Fortitude might be Crosman's way of telling Umerex that Crosman is in the game to stay.

I love competition!
