I welcome opinions on which semi-auto in .25 cal is best in the $1,000 and under price range. I’d love to get a Huben K1 or an LCS SK-19, but they’re a little too pricey for me……..thanks.

Pretty much left with aea for a short, more compact setup.

I think the Marauder semi-auto is .22 only. Hatsan makes a bunch of semi-autos (Bullmaster, Barrage and Invader series), but those aren't in the same league as the K1 or LCS, obviously.

Shoot, good point. Only in .22 for the SAM.
Yeah, the under 1k price point for a semi auto .25 is a hard one. Can go aea, hatsan, etc, but don't expect the build quality of a huben, lcs, or leshiy.
From what I keep tabs on AEA can still be a little hit/miss but a lot of the US Vendors are quick to swap you out. My HPSS was exchanged 3 times but ultimately not worth some of the build and QC issues, personally speaking.

Thank you for all the replies, fellas. I think the SAM is a little under-powered from what I’ve seen. The Blitz is definitely more gun than I need. I like the Invader, but would prefer a higher shot count. I was thinking about a Barrage (looks to be a more reliable gun than the Bullmaster) with a 580cc or 700cc CF bottle to replace the 500cc factory steel one. I’ll have to check out the AEA gun, don’t know too much about it. I was also looking at the Kral Ekinoks or Puncher Auto, but can’t find anywhere that sells them. Finally, I don’t think I wanna go the used route. I like new guns that I can mod and break-in myself.

what i would do personally is save for a lcs .. hatsans sa's are not a smooth operating tool your going to want to do hours of precise work with ... its more like an untamed beast you can unload a clip on something.

Hi i had an air speed and it was ok once you got the bugs out sub 1/2 @50!! sold it, picked up an invader 25 cal last month if i shoot it single shot it is under a 1/2@ 50 semi auto still under 1". You do have to play with the mags so they cycles, and the trigger is way heavy!!! and its a big gun but for the money !!! mine likes h&n 26.? hollow point thanks paper p

My invader is a 22 caliber and will shoot 3/8 groups at 30 yards on the semi automatic.That’s with the JSB 18 grn.I went with the 22 because of the pellets being cheaper.Haven’t shot it past 30 yet. I like that they give you three magazines and all of them work good for me. I was crossing my fingers when I bought it because I had a bad experience with another Hatsan that I bought years ago.But it works flawlessly and I must of got lucky this time. I hope it stays that way because it is fun to shoot. Does have a hard trigger pull though.
