Best is completely personal, as price might outweigh quality for some. Personally, I think the reticle is one of the most important items in this discussion, because if you hate it, it doesn’t matter how much it costs or how clear it seems to your eyes.
You have to be sure that your eyes see the same as others, before relying too much on quality.
The Sightron wins this a lot based on the quality for the price. Decent glass, great reliability, and a great price between $600-$1000 depending on the model. You don’t have to buy the FT model to use it in FT. I can get by with a couple reticles, but they are not my favorite.
The Delta is a better scope for sure with ED glass and being a heavier scope. Is it worth it for the price? Only you know. I personally didn’t like how thin the reticle was, so it was unusable for me and my eyes.
An even more expensive scope that fits my eyes MUCH better than those is the Kahles. That being said, it is even more than the Delta. The optics and reticle are much better for my eyes, but may not be for yours.
Because it is for FT, many would suggest having illumination also, but it is not necessarily required. Depends where you shoot.
I would suggest trying them used at good deals, so you can get your money back, and don’t expect to find the perfect scope on the first try.
