N/A Best Air Pistol find, gift or auction bargain?

My best auction bargain was a Hy-score 827 ( Diana 6M) in perfect condition for $87 plus shipping. Best airgun gift was a S&W 79G that a shooting friend gave me. A few yard sale purchases (example a $5 Marksman pistol) were great deals but the airguns condition was generally poor.

Please share your best air pistol finds?

the thing is after 15-20 years you will hit the jackpot every once in a while but what we paid 10-15 years ago looks like everything was a jackpot 300.00 for a rebuilt Diana model 75 TO1 and at the same time FWB 300's were the same price
and lets be honest we have all gotten a few dogs
i would buy a gun to much money, buy another way better price same gun and find one that is a steal, 3 of the same thing but the average works out

Another thing is that some guns become collectible and some don't. These days a lot of the old Chinese rifles are collectible, but at the time they were largely seen as cheap junk. Did people really get a bargain when they bought that B3-1 for $20 or a Larc M19A for $30 or have we just started paying too much for questionable vintage products?

I stumbled over an old, but very nice Steyr Match LP some years ago. I asked the owner if I could buy it. He replied that it was leaking and had been laying unused for many years, so I could have it for free if I wanted it. He was happy just to get rid of it without throwing it away. I switched out some o-rings and gave it some drops of oil here and there, and it was up for service again. 👍
This summer I got into a conversation with a friend of my old father. Airguns came up and he gave me an old Webley & Scott «the junior». He had possessed it for several decades, and now he felt it was time to pass it on. 🙂
