Best Airgun ?

once you get your tune, the maverick is a fine shooter !
very powerful, accurate & reliable, mine is .25 with slug power kit
and superior heavy liner. 700mm sniper
i started off with high reg pressures then i reduced both.
reduced a 3rd time and now i found the optimum tune in power for hunting
without wasting air and overworking the gun. it has "harmony"
@ 80.4 FPE
when changing your reg settings, you must start over from scratch.
instructions are your friend.

The best airgun doesn't exist yet. Best would be a laser accurate super powerful air efficient belt fed mini gun... with multiple quick change caliber options. Oh... lightweight too, and has a cloaking device built in so the squirrels don't see you.
I really doubt that it is possible to change calibers on an air rifle without the need of adjusting the tunning on each caliber change.

If changing of pellets/slugs implies the need to adjust the scope ....

I like my rifles to be ready to shoot every time out of the shelf. I know the power of each rifle and I can pick the one I think is appropriate for each occasion. That can not be possible with a multicaliber rifle.

Haha no no , not FX for me. I have watched to many people go through dumb poop with those guns lol
It's not the BRAND that gives problems, it's the PLATFORM that some people choose! Some of the platforms have waaay too many bells & whistles & active parts that can fail. The more simple FX platforms are exquisite!

Ok out of those what is going to be most reliable and not a bitch to tune?
They are all easy to tune but from that list most have external HS adjusters, most Brococks have a 2-3 level power dial. If you want to tune further then regulator adjustments are needed and the FX and RTI have external adjusters for that. You have a great budget, it will all depend on your wants and needs as some are bullpups while others rifles.

IMO, 125 yards is pretty far on a shifty animal like a yote. With an air rifle that is. Slug or not, it's hard to get enough ass behind an air rifle projectile. Time in flight is a big issue at that distance with a yote and a sub sonic projectile.

Now if you wanted to take them under 75 yards with a 900 fps gun I'd think thats ethical.

It's not that the 30 wouldn't have the fpe on impact to do the job, its getting the slug/pellet to the target without it moving out of its small kill zone before it impacts.
